Consumer information and product labelling
Products for sale must display indications that enable end users to make an informed decision when purchasing.
Some products are specifically regulated by national norms that implement EU standards. By way of example, it is possible to consult the sections dedicated to:
- textile products;
- footwear;
- food products;
- energy-related products;
- toys (available only in Italian);
- low-voltage electrical equipment (available only in Italian);
- CO2 emissions and new cars’ fuel consumption.
For other products, such as furniture, household products, etc., the general requirements pertaining to labelling can be found in the Consumer Code.
