Professional qualifications obtained abroad
To carry out one of the economic activities to be verified by the Chamber of commerce, Italian, EU and non-EU citizens who obtained their professional qualifications abroad must have previously submitted an application to the competent Ministry. The application is aimed at obtaining a Decree of Recognition of the aforementioned qualifications.
The Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy is competent for the following activities:
- Installation of technological systems;
- Car repair;
- Cleaning, pest controlling, and sanitizing;
- Real estate brokerage;
- Ship brokerage;
- Commercial agency;
- Shipping agency;
- Wholesale trade;
- Beauty treatment;
- Hairstyling.
Please take note of the documentation necessary for such activities on the Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy website.
Once the recognition is obtained, you need to submit a registration application/notification of the business start date to the Business Register, attaching:
- The Decree of Recognition;
- The letter from the competent Ministry.
