Visa on the filing of deeds
What it is about
The visa on the filing of deeds certifies that a document to be presented abroad has been filed in the registers of the Chamber of Commerce. The visa is affixed only on documents issued by institutional bodies and organizations (e.g., health certificates, certificates of analysis or authorizations issued by Health Authorities/National Certification Authorities, etc.).
For all other documents, a visa on powers of signature might be required in order to obtain a legality check on the signatures.
How to request
Requests for stamping the aforementioned documents can be submitted to the competent Chamber of Commerce, which is located where the business’s registered office/branch is.
The request for a visa must be issued and paid online via Cert'O platform, preferably selecting the print-it-yourself mode (read the step-by-step guide).
If the foreign counterpart has explicitly requested that the Chamber sign and stamp the documents in original, the print-it-yourself option must not be selected. Once the application procedure is completed, the documents can be collected, after sending an email, at the Chamber of Commerce where the request was sent.

Things to know
Affixing an apostille to a document
It may be required that documents designed for use abroad contain an apostille. In these cases, the documents must be signed and countersigned by two different Chamber officials, and the countersignature must be authenticated by the local Prefecture. Further information is available on the Prefecture website and the Foreign Ministry website.
