Food products
Food products offered for sale to consumers must display a label, which is an essential tool to correctly inform the public and promote products.
EU Regulation 1169/2011 establishes that food information to be given to consumers must be precise, clear and easily understandable, in order to improve the level of information and protection of European consumers, allow them to make informed choices, and prevent any misleading practice.
Besides, the Regulation has also introduced several novelties concerning label legibility, the obligation to display a nutritional declaration, and the possible presence of allergenic ingredients.
