Company profiles

Italian

Company profiles are documents, exempt from stamp duty, which contain economic and legal information, derived from the Italian Business Register and the REA (Economic and Administrative Index). However, a profile does not have the legal value of a certificate and, consequently, it is not enforceable against third parties.

A profile can be useful when a certificate is not expressly required by law, and when it is necessary to give proof of the assigned ATECO code, which cannot be included in a certificate. No type of profile has an expiry date; it goes without saying that its level of updating depends on its issuance date.

Profiles can be issued to all businesses registered with the Italian Chambers of Commerce, and are available in the following types.

The Standard Company Profile contains general information from the Business Register (such as: registration number, tax code, VAT number, business name, registered office, by-laws, corporate agreements, partnership capital, administrative board members and related powers, supervisory body members, other positions/professional qualifications, secondary headquarters and branches, transfers of business divisions, mergers/demergers, takeovers, business activities carried out , registrations in professional registers and rolls, partners and shareholders).

The Historical Company Profile summarises all information about the company, starting from its inception. Therefore, in addition to the information contained in the Ordinary Company Profile, the Historical one also includes all the changes occurred from the start of the business up to when the Profile is requested; in other words, all the deeds filed in the Business Register, together with statistics on the number of employees hired.

The Company Registration Report is the English equivalent of the Ordinary Company Profile; it is issued at the same cost as the Ordinary one and it is drafted according to law. This Profile can be useful for Italian import-export businesses that want to expand abroad, but also for foreign companies that need information on Italian businesses. Thanks to the Company Registration Report, there is no need to pay for the translation of an Ordinary Company Profile.

Finally, company profiles can be obtained through the following ways.
