All the relevant acts can be either filed at any Chamber of Commerce or sent directly to the Patent and Trademark Office, i.e. UIBM (Italian: Ufficio Italiano Brevetti e Marchi), via:

  • Online submission (except for international trademarks);
  • Certified email (PEC) to dglcuibm.div08@pec.mise.gov.it;
  • Mail, i.e. via registered letter with return receipt, to: Direzione Generale per la tutela della proprietà industriale-Ufficio Italiano Brevetti – via Molise, 2 – 00187 Roma.

If acts are filed via certified email or mail, it is necessary to attach a statement on the payment of the license tax by an F24 model (F24 «elementi identificativi»). For instructions on how to fill out models, please write to: info.marchiebrevetti@mi.camcom.it). When required, the relevant administrative fee is due to the Chamber of Commerce of Rome.

For international trademark registrations and renewals, it is possible to send the applications to dglcuibm.div08@pec.mise.gov.it via certified email (PEC). The applications must be digitally signed. An administrative fee is not due.
