Roll of Assessors and Experts: necessary requirements

To register with the Roll, you must comply with the following requirements:

to be not less than 21 years old;
to have no declaration of interdiction, disablement, or bankruptcy;
to have no conviction for crimes against public administration, administration of justice, public order/trust/economy, trade, and industry;
to have no conviction for first degree murder, theft, robbery, extortion, fraud, embezzlement, fencing, and for any other crime committed with criminal intent, for which a criminal punishment is provided. In the latter case, the minimum penalty must be no less than two years in prison, and the maximum penalty no more than five.

These requirements are ascertained by our officials.

Professional Requirements

To register with the Roll, you must also demonstrate your professional experience and domain expertise, acquired in your field of interest.

By way of example, please consider the following requirements:

To have already issued assessments and/or expert opinions in the product category of interest;
To have obtained a professional technical qualification related to the product category of interest, or have attended professional courses;
To have obtained significant awards related to the product category of interest (such as: certificates of patent filing, certificates of merit);
To be registered with an Enabling Roll for technical activities;
To have written or published technical articles/essays related to the product category of interest;
To have been invited to meetings or conferences as a speaker on topics related to the product category of interest.

All professional requirements will be subject to the discretionary judgement of the competent officials of the Chamber of Commerce. Improper hierarchical appeals against refusals of registration, issued by the Chamber of Commerce, must be submitted to:
