MICE tourism attraction program in collaboration with YesMilano Convention Bureau - 2023

To strengthen Milan's tourism system in the MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) sector, the Chamber of Commerce helps Milanese operators in the sector to position themselves in the major international markets and promotes the city of Milan and its territory as a leading destination. The Milan MICE  Tourism Promotion Plan aims to strengthen the brand awareness of the Milan, Monza Brianza and Lodi territory as a MICE tourist destination at international level. It also fosters the businesses in the supply chain through an annual plan that includes the participation in trade fairs and workshops dedicated to MICE Tourism, organization of  sales missions and B2B networking events, and a specific program named  InBuyer MICE Virtual B2B.

The Inbuyer MICE  Virtual B2B meetings with international buyers from the MICE sector are an integral part of the program. They are opened to small, small-medium  and large enterprises operating in the MICE  sector, with registered office and/ or operational headquarters in the province of Milan, Monza Brianza and Lodi.

The annual promotional plan includes the project “LinkedIn Pro Business Turismo MICE”, that is aimed at businesses in the sector to help them understand and exploit the potential of  social networks to identify new potential customers in foreign markets.

YesMilano Convention Bureau

Since December 2020, YesMilano Convention Bureau has been promoting Milan as a prime and accessible destination for trade fairs, congresses and events. The project’s goal is to create strong synergies among all the players in the entire market chain of the event sector, particularly of the MICE segment, as well as to showcase Milan’s vast, unique, and comprehensive tourism offer.
Discover the city’s venues, conference centers, and hotels through  the Convention Bureau Map.

The project “Inbuyer Turismo” aims to promote  local tourism  on foreign markets by establishing and strengthening commercial relationships through  B2B meetings  between local supply chain sellers - from reception to complementary services (such as tourist guides, cooking schools, transport companies, tour operators, riding stables, sports centres, etc.) - and qualified foreign buyers. The business matching meetings are organized periodically and online with operators from the target markets of Europe, the Middle East, North and South America. They involve local sellers from the hospitality, transport and MICE sectors, tourist guides, travel agencies, and complementary services. If you are a cultural tour operator interested in participating in upcoming events or would like more information about the project, please call +39 02 8515 5139 or +39 331 6075375.
Alternatively, you can write to incomingbuyer@promositalia.camcom.it for further information.

Fam Trip

The Inbuyer Turismo program also features Fam Trips to the target territory which allow to strengthen the commercial relationships between local sellers and the most promising international operators. These trips give the operators the opportunity to  discover the assets of the Milan Monza Brianza Lodi territory as a MICE tourism destination through themed itineraries that focus on leading themes such as luxury, culture, food, sport. The objective is to showcase the competitiveness of the territory to the visiting international buyers.

Global events

To increase brand awareness and reputation of the territory as a MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) tourism destination among business operators from European and non-European target markets, the Chamber of Commerce organizes annual international events in partnership with a  network of  territorial stakeholders. These events are designed to create a distinctive "Milan Experience."
Among the recent initiatives we would like to highlight is the “Milano Ambassador Programme 2022”, an annual event designed to promote Milan as an ideal destination for major trade fairs, association, and sports events. The 2022 edition was part of the “Turismo Milano MICE” promotion plan and included the awarding of professionals who contributed to bringing major national and international events to Milan.
