Certified Email (PEC)

Italian

The Certified Email (in Italian: PEC, Posta Elettronica Certificata) is an electronic system that provides the legal equivalent of a traditional registered letter. Through the PEC system, the sender receives an electronic receipt attesting that his/her email has been received by the addressee.

This email box accepts emails that are sent both from certified email addresses and from ordinary ones. In both cases, emails that are larger than 30 MB (attachments included) will be trashed.

The electronic documents to be sent must be:

  • in an uneditable format (e.g. PDF/A);
  • digitally signed, when required;
  • related to the institutional activity or to the administrative procedures of the Chamber of Commerce.

Documents must not contain images (such as logos, pictures, etc.) or links to external content.
Emailed documents are registered and assigned to the competent office; subsequently, the sender receives an electronic receipt having legal value and bearing a reference number, to which he/she can refer for any follow up contact with the Chamber of Commerce offices. The Chamber of Commerce can accept only electronic invoices (as provided for in Ministerial Decree 55/2013). Business proposals, advertising mail and general requests will not be taken into consideration.
